Volcano boarding
Ascending down the sandy slopes of an active volcano can only be described as a thrilling, breathtaking and unforgettable experience. Take your breath whilst standing on top of the Cerro Negro volcano where you will have an immense view over a great part of the Los Maribios volcanic chain.

Hiking
As well as offering hikes through the trails within one of the many nature reserves and national parks Nicaragua possesses some uniquely diverse alternatives.
Climbing up to the top of the Cerro Negro volcano is an impressive experience. Upon reaching the 675 metre peak you will be rewarded with outstanding views of the Los Maribios volcanic chain and of the colonial city of Leon.
Another beautiful and scenic hike can be found at the largest lagoon and natural treasure Laguna de Opoyo. And it is even possible to entirely hike around Corn island, a paradise set in the Caribbean.
